formula that promotes digestive tract health. FiberSMART is a soothing
and nourishing blend of organic flax fiber, probiotics, herbs and amino
acids. FiberSMART contains a blend of organic flax fiber
and guar gum, which together provide the natural balance of soluble/ insoluble
fiber that nature intended.
The best way to receive your fiber is the way nature intended: through
your diet. You can consume the recommended 25-35 grams of fiber per day,
through a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. The fiber ratio of this
diet would be 75% insoluble fiber to 25% soluble fiber. This is the NATURAL
BALANCE nature intended. Each type of fiber is important to your health.
Soluble fiber, which dissolves in water, helps to absorb intestinal and
liver toxins. Insoluble is the roughage that sweeps the colon free and
promotes regular bowel movements.
When you supplement your diet with a fiber supplement, the easiest way
to mimic the natural balance of 75% insoluble to 25% soluble fiber is
by taking a flax-based fiber. Flax provides roughly the same natural balance
(approximately 65-75% insoluble to 25-35% soluble fiber). Most fiber supplements
use psyllium fiber. Psyllium provides the opposite of the natural balance,
approximately 20% insoluble fiber and 80% soluble fiber (that’s
why it swells and gels so significantly).

Direction
Take 4 capsules in the morning with 8 ounces of water. May be repeated
at midday and in evening if needed. Drink plenty of water while using
this product. Do not exceed 12 capsules a day.

Renew Life's FiberSmart is a great alternative and/or addition to psyllium fiber products. My family swears by this stuff. Four capsules 1-3 times per day taken with plenty of water gives you superior fiber sources (flax seed, borage seed, fennel seed, etc.) as well as a helpful probiotic combination to nurture/protect your "good bacteria" intestinal ecosystem. Worth the price...it's a staple in my household.
This was exactly as described on your site. The price was really much reduced from what I have been paying at local Health Food Stores. The size of the bottle was 200 capsules whereas the one I have been buying was 120 capsules. This bottle was much cheaper than the smaller one I have been buying of the same brand.
